Google Flights is one of our favorite tools for finding flight deals. It is an incredibly powerful flight search engine and the best part is that it is easy to use. Google shows you almost all the flights available for a given search, but it doesn't force you to book with it.

Unlike Expedia, Orbitz, Tripadvisor or Kayak, it is not an online travel agency. Google simply shows you what is available. Once you find the flights you like, click to book. You can choose to book directly with the airline or through a third-party OTA, but not with Google.

One frustrating note is that Google Flights does not show Southwest Airlines flights, so keep that in mind as you search.
